    Seems like the game would figure out how weak a lineup was without the big names... Unless he changed it after the lineup was rated

    You would think so, but I wouldn't think that 2K Sports would create a whole other algorithm that would include pinch hitters or runners in the order. Since I am sure they are giving more of an overall rating to the lineup rather than having the algorithm change in the middle of a game or an at bat. For instance, if the game starts and in the starting lineup it's Jackson, Boesch, Cabrera, Fielder, Young, Avila, Dirks, Raburn, Santiago, and then you get to Cabrera and change him out Worth after the first pitch (like a simulated injury) and Kelly for Fielder after one pitch (like another simulated injury). Your line up would still have the same overall rating, but that Leyland Sunday Special lineup would have a much lower rating, but I wouldn't think that they 2K would create that many different algorithms.

    That's just my 2 cents.
