Someone should let Kornheiser know the Pistons are coming for the Bulls

It was in quotes, indicating somebody on the team said it

Goodshill wouldn't quote someone and not attribute the quote to them.

That was a quote for style, not an actual quote.

That is what I thought at first, but looking at it again maybe he is continuing to quote Stuckey.

Someone get on the twitter and ask him.

I honestly hope no one on the team said that. It sounds even dumber coming from one of them.

I'm surprised you think this. It's a relatively harmless quote, not a big deal at all IMO

What are they coming for? They are what 25+ games behind CHI. They're playing out the string while CHI is gearing up for a playoff run.

Unless they take a monumental step they won't even challenge the Bulls next year. It's taking a moral victory in a game that they should have won. It's dumb like some of those "closing the gap" threads. Its silly for fans to think it, its downright dumb for the players to say it.

I assumed the "we're coming" implied that a year or so down the road the Pistons feel like they'll be on the same competitive plane as Chicago. Ambitious as it may be, a player has to think that they're always just a step or two behind from being really competitive each night.
