Not that I will be doing so...
"People who drink light "beer" don't like the taste of beer; they just like to pee a lot."
i agree with this...
if i rode a motorcycle, there's no way i would ride without one...but, it should be the riders choice...
Never have I seen something so stupid. They been riding helmetless for years down here and of course fatalities are way up. Nobody seems to care.
So let me get this straight. I have to wear a seatbelt when I am in a car but I can ride a motorcycle without a helmet? Makes sense.
I would never ride without one either, since I value my safety, but it should be up to the individual.
Statistically, there's not a big difference in fatalities between states with and without helmet laws. There are instances where helmets are a deterrent to peripheral vision, but for me, those disadvantages are not enough to stop wearing one.
I understand that there are provisions in the law that call for special classes and increased insurance liabilities, so a lot of your concerns are negated if the helmet-less rider follows the law.
I don't think seatbelts should be mandatory for adults either, fwiw.
