lets say he resumes baseball activities in aug, he could be back with the team in september or so...

as long as he can get a couple weeks worth of games in, i'd want him on the postseason roster, without question.

this...and athletes like these guys tend to have better physical therapy and better bodies (in shape) that can heal more quickly than you or I because of the constant attention they are receiving...

Fortunately for everyone involved, you don't need to be in very good shape to play baseball as a DH.

true, but you have to bee able to run the bases without any issues...

I mean even if he doesn't get time much time in the regular season, he'd be a great option to PH or something

As the team is now, I think it has all the elements required to win a title. With a healthy V-mart going into the playoffs, I would be shocked if they didn't win one. Only #2 and #9 would be question marks in the lineup. And its not like they are automatic outs there either.
I won't get my hopes up for this season, 9 months for a knee injury does seem a bit quick.
