Well if it's any consolation, Hossa died tonight.
Cleary's not up until after NEXT year..
But regardless, the Wings were ~5million under the cap this year.
Hoping(probably not likely) that under the new CBA the cap stays the same, they'll have the 5 + 3.75 (Stuart) + 2.875 (Hudler) + 1.875 (Holmstrom)
13.5 - the extra 1.75 cap hit Knronner takes on next year = roughly 11.75 in cap number available to make changes this offseason.
(assuming Nick returns at his current rate)
it's possible, but quite unlikely, that both Parise and Suter fit in that IMO.

Seems like this has turned into the Official Offseason Thread lol
Check back later
This was a must win. I don't think it's unreasonable to talk about this now. They are done.
They might get 1 back but no way do they get 3.

Quincey makes 3.125 right now, and is a RFA...
IMO I'd trade him, don't think he's that much better than Kindl/Smith, for example...
But when Kenny made that trade I think he mentioned wanting KQ here for awhile, so I could see them not pursuing Suter at all and just locking up Quincey or something stupid like that (I'd be pissed, hate the quincey thing altogether).
Realistic expectation for the off-season is:
Quincey gets a 3ish year deal at 3.5-3.75million
-Homer, Hudler, Stuart
+ Parise
things after that will be evaluated later, depends on if Eaves can return for next year, for example

Holland is hopefully not entering a "dumars phase"...
here is my positive thought for the night. Losing sucks but it would have sucked even more if these were west coast games and it was now 1:30 am
