Agree with the first half, but then send a message to the Preds by forcing them to pay an assload for him or lose him.

I honestly think you can turn Weber into Lidstrom light if you give him a role model.

Don't think this would ever happen considering Holland has never offered a RFA. Considering you lose like 4 draft picks, usually high ones it just does not fit with what they do.

No one offers RFA. It's a way to get blackballed by other GMs across the league.

A bit of a homer Im cool with and thats what Mickey used to be and for me its more just the constant complaining about calls and how hockey used to be and how the sticks used to be so much better when they were wood. Just sick of hearing the guy ***** most of the game.

I happens once in a while but not that often and no way the Wings would even consider doing it for Weber. I think they will try to go for Suter this year or Weber the next year if he only signs a 1 year deal.

True, there have been a few lesser players who got RFA offer sheets. That defenseman on the Blackhawks got one from the Sharks. Dustin Penner signed with the Oilers as a RFA and Brian Burke was PISSED. Cant remember the last time a superstar type player got an offer though. Fedorov and the Huricanes?

Vanek from the Sabres was offered a huge deal by the Oilers that Buffalo decided to match and it cost them big time because they couldn't resign some key guys like Briere. They should have taken the 4 1st rd picks.

So I just saw the hit by Weber. That's insane that not only was he not suspended he was only fined 2500. Complete joke.

Its a joke really the most they can fine someone is 2500. And I never expected him to get suspended for the hit, knew the league wouldn't have the balls to pull the trigger on it.

Seems like a lot of misinformation going around with that fine, like the NHL could have fined him more or something.
