This sucks but does not shock me at all.

Overeem tests positive for testosterone, as in lots of it
Alistair Overeem failed a test by having a greater than 10-1 testosterone to epitestosterone ratio, thus being evidence of artificial testosterone in his system, and would be out of his 5/26 UFC championship match with Junior Dos Santos.
Overeem was given a surprise test on 3/28 after a press conference when he came to Las Vegas. At this point only his A sample has been tested.
Keith Kizer of the Nevada State Athletic Commission confirmed the positive test to MMAjunkie.com. He also said that the other five heavyweights on the show, were were also tested, Cain Velasquez, Frank Mir, Dos Santos, Roy Nelson and Antonio Silva, tested clean.
This is a huge story because it confirms suspicion going back a number of years, and also confirms suspicions from late last year when Overeem delayed taking a number of tests which aroused suspicion. Nevada only gave Overeem a contingent license for his 12/30 fight with Brock Lesnar with the proviso he would be given a series of surprise tests over the next several months.
At press time, UFC has not announced a new opponent for Dos Santos, but Velasquez was seem to be the most logical choice.

Totally expected, but this sucks.
Dammit.
I want to see JDS vs Mir I guess.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.
It was only a matter of time before he got caught.
Fukc Kizer and his stupid surprise drug test. I know it probably can't happen but I'd like to see Barnett vs JDS.
I like the idea of surprise drug tests. If guys know exactly when they have to test, they can get off the stuff long enough to get their levels down to a level that will allow them to pass the tests, then get right back to being on the stuff.
This forces guys to do things right, and stay clean.
I've always had suspicions about Overeem, and this finally confirms it for me.
Yeah, for the record, I love this as well.
Test whenever and however.
Let guys know that its not acceptable, and get it out of the sport.
Apparently, Overeem's T/E levels were actually 14:1, not 10:1 as initially reported.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission enforces 6:1 for T/E testing. California is 4:1.
I also read somewhere that former Detroit Lion Johnnie Morton, when he failed a drug test when he was attempting an MMA career was something like 83:1.

UFC hasn't given up on Uber, but I doubt this is going to work.
