hockey OGT: Detroit Red Wings @ St. Louis Blues

    7:30PM, NBCSp

Here is the Red Wings' lineup tonight:

    Filppula-Zetterberg-Hudler

    Nyquist-Datsyuk-Franzen

    Cleary-Abdelkader-Bertuzzi

    Miller-Emmerton-Holmstrom

    Mursak (scratched)

    Lidstrom-Ericsson

    Kronwall-Stuart

    Kindl-White

    Quincey (suspended)

    Howard (starting)

    Conklin

Babcock said his decision to play Jonathan Ericsson with Nicklas Lidstrom for a second game in a row isn't necessarily permanent. He likes how Ericsson has played since returning from a broken wrist and wants to match up his big body (6-foot-4, 221) against big Blues center David Backes (6-3, 225).

Stay healthy and try to get it going a little more these last few games. Would also be nice to lock down 4th place.

Disagree. its actually pretty meaningless actually. And i don't think the third line is bad at all. Will be better when helm replaces Abdelkader and Abdelkader replaces Emmerton.

Meaningless? IMO, the only way we win in the 1st round against Nashville is with home ice advantage. With so few games left and currently behind Nashville, every game is a must win from here on out for me.

Cleary/Abs/Bert is just a slow slow line. And Cleary/Bert have been about as close to useless as you can get for the past month now. I like Abs though. Miller is better than both Bert and Cleary at this point but will be stuck playing 5 minutes on the 4th line.

Agree with you on the 3rd line stuff. I would pair Miller and Abs together and drop Cleary down to the 4th line or just scratch him and let one of the kids play over him.

5 minute major power play, no shots, a shorthanded goal, then a Homer penalty, 4 on 4 goal and now its 2-0.

Might as well be 100 against the Blues.
