Im just talking about his career, no doubt in his personal life he was and is a mess but I just think had he not broken that collar bone he would have had a way different outcome with his career.
At least he'd have a career. I agree that he's been a disaster his whole, but that includes HS, MSU, and the 5 games or so where he was tearing it up as a Lion. At least football provided him an atmosphere of discipline where he could use his natural talents to excel. How many current sports stars are complete potheads off the field/court as it is.
When these guys continue with it after their athletic career is when their lives spiral down the drain. If Rogers never gets hurt he probably at least has a good career as a WR, makes a ton more money, and at least delays the sh!tshow he is now for a decade or so.
Well making an assumption that he wouldn't end up dead, that still a really good career. And his ceiling as a football player was always much higher than Henry's.
And fine, not 180 bible-thumping degrees, but at least 130. Drastically changed is the point I was trying to make.
eh, not that great of a career, and I'd say Henry was a better football player than Crog anyway.
and the Henry comparison is more about the drug issues anyway (multiple suspensions from the NFL, the last one being a year suspension) not to mention him being the "money guy" in a drug trafficking ring that has him in prison for 10years right now...
