I am glad congress is looking into this practice. They wouldn't want me to give out a company password. The credit checks, piss tests and background checks are bad enough.

Its kinda wild that employers are asking for passwords. Fortunately, I haven't had to look for a job a minute. Not that I have anything to hide. Its just the basic principle.
My brother inlaw in Monroe put in for a job at either advance auto parts or autozone, and they wanted to come into the house and scan his home computer. He told them he didn't need the part time job that badly. He is retired from AT&T and wanted something to do.

i've also heard of instances where employers ask candidates to Log-in to facebook on their work computers.
thats even worse imo, employers are tricking people into giving them their usernames/passwords..
i get trying to know as much as you can about the candidates, but back in the day its not like these companies did in-home checks and stalked people at bars/etc to see what they do in their free time. also, whats stopping them from asking for e-mail passwords?
i dont like the practice of giving ANYONE passwords, ever... major security issue imo.
i do think, however, that its ok for them to be facebook friends with you- dont put **** online that you wouldnt want people to know about- but that's quite different than giving them full access.

Simple solution: delete your Facebook while you're looking for a job. Reactivate it once you get the job if you still want it.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.
I'd go with the perma delete.
