Default Drew Stanton signs with Jets, TRADED TO INDY

Newly acquired Jets QB Drew Stanton reportedly may ask for a trade or his release after the team's addition of Tim Tebow.
Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum was noncommittal about Stanton's future in a Wednesday night conference call with the media. "We'll see," said Tannenbaum. "... When we signed Drew, we didn't think (Tebow) was a possibility." Tannenbaum confirmed Tebow would be the No. 2 quarterback behind Mark Sanchez, leaving Stanton potentially ahead of only Greg McElroy on the Jets' depth chart.

Should of stayed in Detroit, Drew.
Darius Slay will be a star.

Eh...maybe if you were a better quarterback, you would not be a 3rd stringer everywhere you go. Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow...you are backing up 2 of the worst quarterbacks in the league.

Isn't that what a 3rd stringer would want. Just like a second stringer, don't you want to be backing up the weakest starter? (Unless you are just looking to hold a clipboard and collect a check, but in Drew's case, then he would just stay there)

Maybe the Lions can waste a 2nd round pick on Drew...again!

I'd like to get Drew Stanton back for a swap of 7th round picks. I surely wouldn't give them an extra pick for someone that they just signed away from us. Nor would I change rounds to get him back.

That is a problem with signing a contract.....your stuck for the terms of it. I guess next year he can try and find a better position that clipboard holder.

Drew's never going to be more than a clipboard holder anywhere. I dont want him back under any circumstance. he's nothing more than a #3 here and we've dedicated enough time already to a guy who's never going to be any more than he is right now. He can probably be a #2 somewhere else, but that's his ceiling. For our #3, i'd rather have a developing player

this, #3 shouldn't be a guy a year or 2 away from 30... Get someone with some upside and try and turn him into a future starter or nice backup.

That's my take. And if he works out and develops, you can try to trade him.

Why would you ever trade anything for him, I wouldn't give up a 8th rd pick for the guy...
