n alleged serial flasher strikes again in Rochester. Workers at Salon Bliss say a man walked in around 10 p.m. last Tuesday wearing a backwards baseball cap and black sheer pantyhose with nothing underneath.
"First thing he asked was, 'Do you guys do Brazilian waxes?'" said Anna Pagac, who works at the salon.
FOX 2's Alexis Wiley reports the workers didn't realize how weird the situation was until they got a glimpse of what was going on down south. "I could see when I looked down he had like pantyhose on and they were totally see-through," said Pagac. "You could see everything."
According to police, the man was wearing a grey long sleeve button-up shirt that was open over an inside-out blue t-shirt with the tag sticking out of the front, and women’s sheer pantyhose with nothing else underneath.
Workers say they told the man the store was closed and he strolled out of the salon. That's when they called police and turned over the surveillance footage (click the video player to watch).
"You feel violated," said Pagnac. "Like you're forced into a situation you don't want to be in."
The Oakland County Sheriff's office believes this man has struck before. A person fitting his description did the same thing in Auburn Hills just hours before the Salon Bliss incident, police say. In fact, a similar man has been spotted at least a dozen times at salons all over metro Detroit, including Francesca's Collections in Rochester.
His motive is always the same. Employees say he strolls in just before closing when most to all customers are gone. And he's always wearing those black see-through pantyhose.
"I just hope he's caught," said Pagac.
And Fox 2's Amy Andrews reports the same man may have also struck at the Justice store in Utica on Monday night.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-50s standing just over six-feet tall with a "pot belly" and skinny legs. A cash reward is offered for information leading to his arrest. Anyone with knowledge of this suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/news/the-so-...-strikes-againPolice throughout metro Detroit are looking for a man who's being described as a serial flasher. There have been instances in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb Counties. Police have yet to determine if this is the same individual, but the mode of operation is the same. And they believe he struck twice Monday night; once at Plato’s Closet and again at a store that caters to young girls.
"He was being suspicious, looking around and checking out some girls. ”
Desiree Pfeiffer has worked at Plato's Closet for about a year now and she says what happened last night was by far the strangest thing that has ever happened to her while on the job.
He just came in, he said hi to me and he just started walking around.
That in itself isn't strange but what the man was wearing is.
“He was wearing see through pantyhose and I guess he wasn't wearing any underwear underneath,” said Utica’s Interim Chief of Police, David Faber.
What the individual was wearing was similar to what a man wore inside a salon on March 13 in Rochester Hills and in other stores throughout Metro Detroit.
“It was just before 9 as the store was about to close, the suspect walked into the store wearing some sort of jacket and some sort of see through panties, exposing himself.
Police say once he left Plato’s Closet he walked next door to Justice Just For Girls and did the same thing with one exception. While inside Plato’s Closet, police believe he may have made contact with a young female customer; and that move could have the bandit face much more serious charges...once he's caught.
The chief said, “if he rubbed up against somebody, we could be looking at criminal sexual conduct.”
http://www.freep.com/article/2012032...text|FRONTPAGEPolice have released video of a man who walked into a salon in Rochester Hills -- wearing a pair of sheer pantyhose -- and asked for a Brazilian wax.
The man, believed to be in his 50s or 60s and wanted in connection with 10 indecent exposure incidents throughout metro Detroit, last struck at Salon Bliss last week, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
"The man walked to both sides of the counter, apparently so that everyone could clearly see him," a news release issued by the Sheriff's Office stated.
He stayed for about a minute, then left the salon on South Rochester near West Avon about 9:45 p.m.
Joy Clark, 39, a hairstylist, said the last client of the day had left the salon when the man walked in and repeatedly asked about the waxing services.
"He just kept staring at us," she said. "The position of his body was definitely wanting us to look."
She said she thinks that he may have watched the salon and waited for closing time before coming in, because the employees didn't see a car pull up. "We were so shocked," Clark said. "All of our hearts were beating like crazy."
The man is being called a serial indecent exposer, and deputies said they believe the same person has been involved in all 10 incidents reported over the last few months in Rochester Hills, Canton, Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township, Chesterfield Township and West Bloomfield.
At the salon, the man also wore a gray, long-sleeve, button-up shirt over an inside-out T-shirt that had the tag sticking out of the front. He also had on a baseball hat and slippers.
Police released a picture of the man, who is described as about 6 feet tall with skinny legs and a pot belly.
About an hour before the man arrived at the salon, a man was spotted wearing similar attire in Auburn Hills.
Deputies also responded to an indecent exposure report at Francesca's Collections at the Village of Rochester Hills last month.
2 more incidents last night:
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...393/1361/rss41Authorities say a man wearing sheer women's pantyhose who exposed himself in several suburban Detroit communities in recent months has struck again.
The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports the man went into two businesses Tuesday night in Utica and displayed similar behavior as in the previous cases.
The Oakland County sheriff's department released a surveillance photograph on the man Monday following a March 13 indecent exposure report in Rochester Hills. Prior to the Utica reports, the department said the man believed to be in his 50s exposed himself 10 times in six different communities.
In some cases the man was reported to be wearing a shirt and hat, and only pantyhose to cover the lower half of his body.
Investigators were seeking tips from the public.

http://www.detroitnews.com/article/2...397/1361/rss41A man wearing sheer pantyhose has now exposed himself at least 17 times in 10 different communities, including malls and salons, over the past few weeks, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said Friday.
Armed with little more than a nonchalant attitude, videos show the man — believed to be in his 50s — strolling into businesses while wearing a shirt and a hat, and nothing but sheer, dark-colored pantyhose from the waist down.
In several salons, he has asked about a Brazilian wax, or similar service, before casually taking his leave.
According to Bouchard, it's believed the man drives a silver 2005-09 Jeep, likely a Grand Cherokee. Bouchard — who said his department is coordinating efforts with county sheriff's departments from Macomb and Wayne in the case — is concerned about the blatant nature of the appearances.
"Most of the time these individuals will just expose themselves and then run off," Bouchard said. "But he's appearing over and over again. We know he exposed himself twice in one night at businesses in Rochester Hills. He's enjoying the attention."
Police are worried that the man might grow bolder as time goes on.
"He may become emboldened and morph into aggressive behavior," Bouchard said. "We wouldn't expect that he would become violent, but there's no guarantee. We need the public's help in finding this guy."
Experts say the man's exhibitionism falls in the category known in the mental health field as "paraphilias," which is behavior that involves sexual arousal and gratification from behavior that is out of the norm.
As a rule, exhibitionists aren't generally dangerous, according to forensic psychologist Dr. Daniel Swerdlow-Freed.
"I don't think they're the kind of people who are liable to sexually assault another person," Swerdlow-Freed said. "They're more the type of person who is getting their excitement through the risk of exposing themselves. Sometimes they may go to a private place afterward."
Swerdlow-Freed reacted to the fact that this exhibitionist has been blatant in his appearances in malls and salons.
"It tells you just how strong this urge can be," Swerdlow-Freed said. "Many times they will expose themselves out of doors and then run off, but he's doing it not once, but time and time again while probably knowing he's on surveillance cameras."
As far as the law is concerned, indecent exposure generally results in one of two charges: the first is an "indecent exposure" misdemeanor, which carries a maximum penalty of up to 93 days in jail (this is a citation often given to persons caught urinating in public). The second indecent exposure charge — "aggravated indecent exposure" — is more serious. It usually involves fondling of a graphic nature. It is a felony that carries up to two years in prison.
So what should someone do if they bump into someone like this?
"The wisest and safest thing to do is call the police," Swerdlow-Freed said. "It doesn't make sense for an individual to capture an exhibitionist … it's surprise and shock value that is arousing them, not confrontation."
"Just call 911 for your local police department as soon as you spot this guy," he said. "Somebody must know who he is based on what he looks like, his description and the fact that he drives a silver Cherokee."
Sounds like the same guy whom terrorized the mall in the Seth Rogen Movie, "Observe and Report"
underrated flick IMO.
