The date range of Zimmerman's calls, is 2001-2012, not 2011-2012, which means his 46 calls came over a 10- to 11-year period -- roughly four calls per year -- and not four calls per month as the initial police statistics revealed.

I saw every newscast talk about the 46 calls in 11 months.. I haven't heard one correct that information.

I was thinking about this on the way home this afternoon. I may have called 911 twice in my lifetime. And one was to report a really bad accident that happened right in front of me on the highway.

not to make light of the situation but I always thought neighborhood watches were bull****.

I thought it was just a sign you hung on the door or in the window to "deter" potential criminals.

I never thought there was an actual civilian patrol. I am going to start creeping through the ville at night on my neighborhood watch.

Think I could make it to the end of the block with the home defender without having a cop shoot me?

cmon.. the 'best case' for zimmerman is that he's an overprotective wanna-be cop who killed an unarmed kid who he was stalking and baited into beating his ass.

I am comparing how George Zimmerman is being treated by the media to how Richard Jewell was treated by the media.. and how the media deliberately distorted the truth to sensationalize their story.. and when they got it wrong, how they buried the truth and moved on to the next sensational story.

I'm not comparing GZ to RJ as people or in their situations outside of how they had their cases tried in the court of public opinion.

Question for Rick. No one knows what happened, but in your eyes, what events could make this shooting justified?

If GZ didn't have any contact with TM after he stopped his SUV and got out looking for him and as he returned to his SUV was assaulted and if the threat "I'm going to kill you" was uttered while TM was in the superior position (if he was in the superior position) while assaulting GZ (if he was assaulting GZ) then you have a situation where self defense would seem applicable.

As the furor over race and self-defense raged on in Florida and around the U.S. on Thursday, Trayvon's family and supporters seized on the footage to dispute Zimmerman's claim that he shot and killed the unarmed black teenager after the young man attacked him.

While cautioning that the video is grainy and far from conclusive, some legal experts agreed it does raise questions about Zimmerman's story. The video was made about a half-hour after the shooting Feb. 26.
