How many children have been murdered in Detroit this year? It has to be approaching 20. The racism attached to this story is drawing attention away from the real problem.

Totally disagree. The real problem is much more complex than the extremely tragic murder of an unarmed "All-American" teenage boy.

Trying to blend the two is what draws attention away from addressing the toughest issue at hand.

The body language of the cops is interesting too. I'm sure I am reading too much but they all seem pretty nonchalant.

the defenders of this dirtbag amaze me..The smear campaign against this kid is nothing short of astonishing..Saying race does not play a part is ridiculous..A black man would be in jail right now if the script was flipped

People need to stop saying this. The fact is nobody knows. In fact the only person here with an informed opinion would be Diehard, who I wish was here to give us some insight on if the police are following protocol.

Good thing the media and public have dragged Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee's name through the mud.

Also Spike Lee should be forced to personally guard the house of the people's lives he's nearly ruined and shoo protesters away

I suspect it is normal procedure to take pictures as evidence, so it will be interesting to see the police photos of just how badly he was beaten if he was.

In either case it doesn't change the facts that he should be under arrest for murder at this point.

i agree...there should be pictures from the scene...he should be held until the investigation / court case is over...

do the twitter accounts of TM make any difference here? just asking...they found another one...i don't think it does, but it doesn't make out TM to be that "nice kid" as the president stated...i still think GZ acted out of hand following the kid, but could the twitter account show a different side of him?

Middle finger pics are very much like duck face pics that girls take. They both just mean they are stupid teenagers IMO. Doesn't mean they are bad kids. Not saying Trayvon was a saint because I have no idea and obviously he had some issues given the reports of the suspension.
