Neighborhood Watch guy chases down a kid, shoots him, charged with 2nd-degree murder

I've listened to this Martin case thing for a while. I am a gun owner and tend to side on the gun rights argument. That being said, the Zimmerman dude shouldn't have been following this kid, with a gun, especially after the 911 lady told him to bug out. I can't help but think if he wasn't trying to be billy badass protecting the neighborhood, the kid wouldn't have been shot. Neighborhood watch means you watch, let the cops handle the rest. Even if the Martin kid was on top of him kicking his ass, the Zimmerman dude probably deserved it for being a nosey ******** to begin with. I probably would have gone after the dude if he was following me too.

But imo, the race thing is not applicable here. That's just a smokescreen. This is about a gung-ho wannabe cop trying to do something he had no business doing and killing a teenage kid in the process. I personally believe he should be brought up on charges for killing the kid.

I've broken my nose and I bled like crazy. every broken nose I've seen has done the same thing. He had no blood on him

the defenders of this dirtbag amaze me..The smear campaign against this kid is nothing short of astonishing..Saying race does not play a part is ridiculous..A black man would be in jail right now if the script was flipped

I don't think you can completely dismiss race. I don't think race was the primary factor but I do believe that it was a factor. I mean part of the reason that GZ saw Trayvon as suspicious was because he was black. The "****ing coons" statement is quite damning too obviously.

I also think that race is at least some of the reason that why the PD bought GZ's account of the happenings and why they didn't dig into the further initially.

I can't disagree with a thing you have said.

Watch those that are defending Zimmerman continue to defend him with the evidence that is in front of them is telling. The man should be under arrest right now.
