I had not seen that till just now.... Last time I heard anything on the case he hadn't talked. It looks like I'm behind on the case
This is right from the article. I guess I just don't get how everyone knows what happened.
One-minute gap
On Feb. 26, when Zimmerman first spotted Trayvon, he called police and reported a suspicious person, describing Trayvon as black, acting strangely and perhaps on drugs.
Zimmerman got out of his SUV to follow Trayvon on foot. When a dispatch employee asked Zimmerman if he was following the 17-year-old, Zimmerman said yes. The dispatcher told Zimmerman he did not need to do that.
There is about a one-minute gap during which police say they're not sure what happened.
Zimmerman told them he lost sight of Trayvon and was walking back to his SUV when Trayvon approached him from the left rear, and they exchanged words.
Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone, he told police. Trayvon then said, "Well, you do now" or something similar and punched Zimmerman in the nose, according to the account he gave police.
Zimmerman fell to the ground and Trayvon got on top of him and began slamming his head into the sidewalk, he told police.
Zimmerman began yelling for help.
Several witnesses heard those cries, and there has been a dispute about whether they came from Zimmerman or Trayvon.
Lawyers for Trayvon's family say it was Trayvon, but police say their evidence indicates it was Zimmerman.
One witness, who has since talked to local television news reporters, told police he saw Zimmerman on the ground with Trayvon on top, pounding him — and was unequivocal that it was Zimmerman who was crying for help.
Zimmerman then shot Trayvon once in the chest at very close range, according to authorities.
When police arrived less than two minutes later, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a swollen lip and had bloody lacerations to the back of his head.
Paramedics gave him first aid but he said he did not need to go to the hospital. He got medical care the next day.

I mean, I'm definitely not on one side of this or the other. I just find it weird that everyone has already come to conclusions that can't be made given the information I've read.

Well most of what was brought up first was mostly one sided. A lot of people made up their minds of what happened based on those reports. People like me have not paid as much attention the last couple days so new info is lost on us
This thread title is a TRWW special.

sounds like it wasn't 911 audio as the quote you have says "In a call to a non emergency number"
911 would be an emergency number.
Also to me following and chasing are two completely different things, not justifying what the guy did but following him so he could guide authorities to him is different than getting in a foot chase and tackling him.
To me it wasn't justified and all parties are too blame.
Again it's just my opinion but it seems zimmerman got into an "altercation" called police, martin then left, zimmerman was like you aren't getting away that easy started to "follow" (not chase) martin, martin who wasn't about to wait around for police got into another altercation with zimmerman and it cost him his life.
completely unsubstantiated on my part from putting the pieces together of all the sides that I have heard/read so far
You say no to ratchet psusy Juicy J can't
Has anyone seen this light-skinned black "friend" of Zimmerman's on all the TV shows? Dude is twice Zim's age (53), talks in lawyerly fashion and is resolute that Zimmer is in a sense "dead also," saying further evidence which he can't share yet will exonerate Zim.
On HARDBALL, he went on to debate whether Zimmy said "coon" or "goon," saying goon is a term of endearment. Also that pursued him is a relative term.
Thoughts on this guy? I mean, he must incense the likes of Sharpton but I'm left wondering how at this point anyone in law enforcement will feel they can do anything but prosecute him.

I continue to hear more, and nothing to this point changes the fact that Zimmerman initiated this by following the kid. Had he done what he should have done....., called the cops and waited for them to arrive, this likely would be a non-story and he would not have killed this unarmed kid.
Finally, the police work on this is so bad. Unfortunately they have given Zimmerman time and space to come up with a plausible story that will be tough to prove or disprove. As a result of bad police work, any additional information Zimmerman offers at this point is questionable at best.
