I was commenting the other day how it seems like every year Duke and UNC start the tourney somewhere in the state of North Carolina - whether it's Greensboro, Raleigh, or Charlotte. Anyone know if The Palace is going to have the first weekend again anytime soon?

Guarantee if Michigan and MSU make it, they won't play in Detroit.



I dot get how this works or why they will play some games in the bracket on the 15/17th and others in the same region on the 16/18. Like MSU plays 16/18 in their bracket, but new Mexico played on the 15th and 17th and will have more rest. Not to mention they will be coming from Ohio to Az and NMU is just shooting down from Oregon.

Why not make the 1st round teams play in the same region?

Not much of the logistics makes sense

they used to do it this way, not sure why they switched. and as far as the rest goes, i think they figure 4 days vs 5 is no big difference
