I think that is a really reasoned post by Valenti.
If I was a spartan that would be my concerns.
Recruiting matters, you think Izzo is just a great coach because of x's and o's, he has had much better talent then Michigan for a decade now.

Obviously changes have to be made. Good thing for MSU is that there is enough young quality depth already, so the team isn't going to drop-off overnight. However, if this staff has any ambitions of establishing any sort of staying power, there are certainly things that need to be addressed on the recruiting front, and it starts with being WAY more aggressive.
agree.
I think look no further then Michigan basketball, they got lucky with two no name recruits who ended up being solid players and great leaders the got lucky with some under the radar guys like Hardaway, Morgan and Burke.
But to go beyond a good year or two they needed to bring in some talent, and luckily they are (McGary, Robinson) so the success wont be fleeting.

The "under the radar" thing is a facade. Yeah, we've had success developing some kids up to this point, and the staff is to be commended for it, but MSU fans want highly rated classes just like anyone else. Don't let them fool you. MSU pulls a highly ranked kid, they'll be the first to throw his star ranking in your face. I give people sh!t for that on the rivals boards all the time.

The ones that refuse to acknowledge that everything is anything less than perfect are the ones that get to me. Seriously, there are issues, you know it, I know it, now lets talk about it like educated human beings. Don't try and get a poster banned just because he has problems with our staff's recruiting, or if he says a kid likes another school more. It's getting ridiculous. BTW, don't act like you guys don't have some real pieces of work in your fanbase as well.
