The iPad 3 Will Appear March 7th?

Pour yourself a glass of red wine and put on your tech gossip pants, because we've got another iPad 3 rumor: iMore says Apple's next tablet will be announced on March 7th, packing serious power.
According to their sources "who have been reliable in the past," we can expect the following:

Apple currently plans to hold their iPad 3 announcement on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Along with the 2048×1536 Retina display, the iPad 3 will feature a quad-core Apple 6 system-on-a-chip, and possibly 4G LTE networking.

The relayed word from iMore's Rene Ritchie—who's usually pretty reliable—jibes with AllThingsD's "first week of march" prediction, as well as Apple's tablet track record. Whether or not Apple's big reveal is exactly on March 7th or not, it's almost certainly popping up somewhere around that point on the calendar. Now we just wait and see what trickles out ahead of time. [iMore]

I was so close to buying one. May as well wait unless they offer some mad deal when you buy an iPad 2. I'd be pissed if I just bought one and then the 3 comes out

Or if you wait until Ipad4 comes out, you can get a smoking deal on Ipad3. But if you wait for Ipad5 to come out, you can get an awesome deal on Ipad4.

With Apple/Computers, you're always going to be playing catch-up, and you'll never buy a thing, if you wait for the right timing.

We bought an Ipad2 around Christmas. I could not be happier. I don't use any 3G, the processor and hardware are plenty fast enough for me, and I think the display is out-right stunning! I have a subscription to ESPN Mag, and the photos that they publish for the Ipad APP are simply amazing! I can't even imagine what a higher resolution would do, or how it could be better. The photos right now look like the equivalent to a high-def TV picture.

My only complaint is the camera and video recorder, but I have other cameras/camcorders that I use if I want good quality.

In two years I'll probably get the Ipad4, and let my kids have the Ipad2 exclusively. They really are quite reasonable, for what you get. BTW: If anyone is going to buy a brand new Ipad, I know a reputable dealer that sells them less than list price (PM me if you want the name).

Yeah I know that you can never keep up with technology, same with TVs, but buying a 2 that close to the release of the 3 would still bum me out.

No actually there isn't.

Actually my wife says the before you return it, you connect it to itunes or something and it stores the apps. When you get the new one, you connect it to itunes and it puts all of the apps on the new ipad. It really isn't that hard. It takes a couple of minutes.

You don’t want to try this now. Target changed the return policy to 45 days on electronics without notification. They did this right before Christmas. People who bought Christmas gifts in November but attempted to return electronics in January are now screwed because they thought the return policy was still 90 days. A lot of people has sworn off Target forever.

Man, would people quit *****ing about the stupid USB or SD slots on the iPad's already. If it was that big of a deal to Apple that it have those features it would have already.
