Try P.O.E.T. Animal Rescue, they seem to have a lot of puppies and dogs that fit your criteria. They just posted an 8 month GSD mix on their facebook that was really cool looking.
I did not include any information on how our last dog died, but after talking with one of my references they may have hinted at what happened. Probably what scared them away.

Looked at that GSD mix WMH, not a big fan of its look. Plus its a female, have no interest in getting a female.

Why not? Female dogs usually have a way more appealing temperament.
I realize I'm putting this here for you to read... but please, don't talk about it.

ohhhhhhhh lol, yea. I think he was a little taken back by some of their questions and just told them the truth. No hard feelings though, if it wasn't meant to be it wasn't meant to be.

Much better. Male dogs are okay too, but I prefer females. Plus they don't have the instinct to lift their leg all over the house.

    Grats on the approval.

Fwiw, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but I can tell you without seeing that there is no way it's mixed with a Catahoula. Those dogs are so rare that any offspring (even mixed) they have would never make it to a rescue.

Rescues like to put those titles on dogs to get attention. If I had a dollar for every "whippet" on petfinder that wasn't anything like a whippet I'd have a bunch of lottery tickets or ranch dressing.

I picked up a "lab mix" from the MHS. She ended up looking like a Standard Schnauzer.
