Thank you, Earl Monroe, for ending the lockout.

Guys you think will be moved?

I'll say one thing, these guys are gonna have some INTENSE practices to start the season: http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_orleans.htm

    Apparently, Melo is an idiot.

"The difference between Carmelo Anthony’s existing contract and the one he could have received as a free agent under the rules of the new collective bargaining agreement comes out to a total of $5.8 million over the same four years."

Huh? So he could've got more under the new CBA?

So the difference wouldn't have been much. Sounds like the Knicks bungled again because they could've got him and not had to give up half of the team in order to do so.

would they have had the necessary cap space though to just sign him as a free agent?

Alright Jay, you've lost me. How does this make Melo an idiot. No one knew how the CBA was going to work out. If you can get 86M guaranteed, you do it.

I meant to say his agent for not doing more research. I know it's tough to gauge how a new CBA would have shaken out, but NYK could've probably kept Gallinari and 1-2 other pieces instead of giving up half the team to get him.

Everyone and I mean everyone thought the max salaries were going to drop SIGNIFICANTLY with new CBA contracts. Hindsight is 20/20

Its pretty obvious Paul will be moved before the season is done. Not so sure on Dwight.
