Afterall, it is the Sparties that are claiming Gardner had a nice visit and Magic talked to him, etc.

This will be a big one that MSU loses head to head against Michigan, and just goes to prove that when they want a kid and he fits there system, Michigan recruits very well in state.

MSU beating UM 1 year in recruiting (instate) does not equal a trend, so saying that UM doesnt recruit well in-state is unfair...

Gardner said himself the MSU visit was great and posted photos of him and Magic on his Facebook,..So anything that came out of the MSU camp was validated by Gardner himself?!?!?!?

I will agree with you on MSU losing out to UM on Gardner if you agree that MSU beat out UM for Bolden assuming both these things happen..

If Gardner can't beat out Forcier at quarterback -- that is a BAD thing for Michigan State. Gardner changing to QB would also mean that Forcier has the position on lockdown.

Plus, I don't think Gardner has the pure speed for a quarterback. I've never thought he was amazingly fast -- just strong and really athletic.

MSU really can't lose here if they get him, great for them. If he leaves Big Ten, they don't have to deal with him.
If he goes to UM, likleyhood is he will switch to WR due to Forcier, which is much better than him going to OSU or playing QB for another MSU opponent.

Being from Inkster, I see him as a UM lean right now. That is not based on any inside info though.BTW, I see Scout is saying he is #1 player in MI. If he does not commit to UM how long will that last? It would be great to see ho t hey would spin moving him down after hyping him up so much.

In addition, if he is a QB that is likely going to be switched to WR at UM, how do they justify him being #1. Do they know he is going to be one of the best WR's in the nation? Gotta love how they operate over there.

OK..Let me set the record straight on one thing about Gardner...Gardner will not be a wide reciever....He will be a quarterback..Period....So can we please end the Gardner at WR crap

Agree. You can redshirt him if you wanted, and he would be a freshman when Tate is a junior. 2 year starter, and you can throw him somewhere else while he waits and is the backup.

Tommy, you are the closest person on this board to the Inkster program so nobody would question your prediction.....

Dorsey feels that Gardner is the top ranked Q.B. in the state who is such a freakish athlete that he could possibly transition to WR if he was agreeable to the switch......Why is everybody offended by that thought???? Dorsey is suggesting that he MAY not be able to beat out Forcier due to reports coming out of AA that Forcier has been VERY SHARP!!!

God I hope he doesnt beat Tate, I hope the first time he has to see the field as a starter is as a redshirt junior. With Henne and Navarre I think there is this perception that kids should start all four years at QB, which is not the best way to develop a program IMO.
