T-Fos says.. Boombayea New Column Begins This Week
Today I am happy to announce I will be writing a full time column again called Terry's Town beginning Wednesday in The Detroit News.
Tentatively the column is to run Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and I am excited about it.
The title pretty much describes the column. This is my town and I want to write about the people and issues that make it click. This is my opportunity to get out and about and write about the heart beat of this city's sports scene.
You will see me write about events both big and small. You will read about people you know and those you need to know. I want to write about what is on your mind. I want this to be a column of the people and I want to monitor our sports heart beat.
You can call me Neal Rubin with a tan. The difference is I will focus on sports and won't be writing a comic strip.
As some of you know I wrote a once a week column called Terry's Town. Between writing about the Lions and having a Sunday column, radio, children and a life I did not have much time to devote to it. It was an after thought.
No more. This is my gig now.
I want to thank you and get you involved also. Your support over the years during tough times helped make this happen. The blog is popular and editors are happy with your response and my radio show with Mike Valenti on 97.1 FM has added to the profile.
Here is what I need from you. Let me know what is happening around Detroit, the suburbs and the state of Michigan. If something is going on or somebody is doing something special or even naughty let me know. I have people looking out for me. I want to involve everybody.
I want to make this special. I even have ideas on how to raise money for charity by doing some fun events.
But once again I want to thank you. This is happening only because of your continued support.
I may have to toast one on St. Patty's Day.
Boombaye!!
