The Valenti and Foster Show want to do something fun and Mr. Squeak has approved and is setting up a nice prize list for us.

We are holding the first annual Sexy Santa contest in December at Mallie's at Southgate. Details are being worked out and the date has not been ironed out. This is where the hot women of The Sports Inferno ./././. errrrrr Valenti and Foster ./././. come decked out in Holiday gear and win big prizes.

The prize list is being put together as we speak but the grand prize winner will win a sleigh ride dinner and $200 gift certificate for jewelry. Runner ups will get a $100 jewelry gift certificate.

So if you know of good looking women who are interested register them at my email address This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . I simply need their names, home towns and contact information so I can tell them when and where this will be.

The rules are simple. This is basically a beauty contest for the women.

  1. You must wear a sexy holiday outfit. The contestant can be an elf, Santa, Santa's helper or Momma Santa. I don't care. But it must be holiday or Christmas related.
  2. She will be asked a couple of questions that are holiday related and will be judged on her answers.
  3. We will need a sexy boombaye out of the contestants and the top three get prizes. And men can drool all over themselves.

ImageSOUTHGATE -- This is the moment we've waited nearly a decade for.

This was the team we were promised seven years ago and never got. The Lions are legit. They entered the world of NFC playoff contenders Sunday by pounding the Chicago Bears 16-7 Sunday at Soldier Field.

ImageFinally I can clear up some things about my radio show's involvement with the Lions post game show on Sunday.

It has been written that the Lions did not want my radio partner Mike Valenti to be part of the show. Well he's in.

The Sports Inferno

There has been a lot of talk about the future of The Sports Inferno on SI.com and I wanted to address a few issues.

There is a chance you are listening to the final months of the Sports Inferno. I hope I am wrong but here is the situation. Our contract expires in April of next year and we are not negotiating. We were given an offer and it was so ridiculous it was not even worth responding to.

And that is where we sit. Once the offer was rejected talks stopped. There was no counter offer. It ended right there.

Now I've been told time and time again this is the way negotiations go. It always looks bleak until the final days of the contract. Things open up and magic happens. I hope it happens here but there are signs that won't. And I will admit I have never been in serious negotiations in radio.

Right now I would say it is a 75 percent chance we won't be doing a show this time next year.

There are other factors in place that I will discuss at a future date. Mike is in a position to do something about it his radio future. He can leave and I believe that if a deal is not in place by the first of the year, that he will leave. It is not a threat. It is not a prank. It is reality. He will leave.

There are other stations interested in him. They will talk to him at the appropriate time because the guy is very good at what he does. My guess is he leaves Detroit. Detroit and Chicago are possibilities.

You have also heard that the Lions do not want Valenti doing the post game. I do believe that although I've been told that is not the case. However, we are still not doing the post game on 97.1 FM. The reason I was given is because our shows have been sold to certain clients and the 97.1 FM version was sold to other venues. I buy that, But I also buy into the speculation that the Lions would rather have somebody else doing post game than Mike.

He is not sugar and spice and everything nice. The dude is a breathing dragon and everybody does not like that.

The clock is ticking. The good news is there is a lot of sand in the hour glass, but I really believe management believes Mike is bluffing. If they believe that then it could prove to be a critical mistake.

As far as my future? Let's just hope foobtoob.com takes off.

Image The other night ESPN hosted a town hall meeting about the treatment of suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. A couple nights earlier I watched the protest in Jena, La. during the Jena 6 trial.

The cases are unrelated but there is a common thread that confirms that black people and white people view the world in different ways.
