Foster Column at Detroit News There will be noticeable changes in my job duties at The Detroit News and many of the people on sportsinferno.com and listeners of the Sports Inferno played a major role.
In addition to the Sunday web only column at Detnews.com I will begin a weekly Monday column called Terry`s Town that will appear in the newspaper. That gives me two columns a week in addition to doing enterprise stories that the newspaper is very high on.
That allows me to go on my high school tours which I enjoy and to do unique stories.
I feel as if I am a columnist again, which means I can shape opinions and move people to action. That is what I love doing.

My radio career took another turn today and I am supposed to be happy.
But I am not. Not yet.
Drive Time Blues Mike Valenti and I got the news today that we are the new afternoon drive show at 1270 AM WXYT. The Sports Inferno will move to the 2-6 p.m. time slot replacing the Big Show. The Big Show with Doug Karsch and Scott "The Gator" Anderson takes our place from 10-2. The switch is effective Jan. 2, 2007 and the station will begin doing plenty of promotions after Christmas to introduce you to the new line up.

According to our source, "when [the player] came out of the closet, everyone was shocked ... we would always see pictures of him with models. No one suspected that he was into men."

Sometimes you do things and you wonder if you are wasting your time and energy. And I am devoting a lot of Operation FAB time to Operation Fill a Blog on my web blog at Detnews.com. But this is a mission for me. I want to see the Lions move in a different direction and fire Matt Millen as team president. In my heart of hearts I believe the Lions will never have a winning season with him in charge. So I started this campaign a little more than a week ago where I had my readers and listeners share their views on the Lions. I have posted more than 220 letters and I still have about 150 in the hole. I know the Lions read my web log and I am hoping that it is a tiny shot that pushes them over the edge to do the right thing. It might not work. They might be laughing at the campaign.
