• Recap from the Detroit Lions Season Ticket Holder Town Hall

Sportsinferno.com member Aaugusti shares his summary of the Detroit Lions Town Hall for Season Ticket Holders.

There were over 1,000 people there, and fans that brought Suh signs. There was about 45 minutes where you could go on the field and meet and greet players. Delmas came out of the tunnel a couple of times doing his pre-game dance. When it was time to start, Tom Lewand came up and thanked the fans while Stafford and Burleson got miced up. Said the fans were awesome, and stuck with them through the tick and thin, then said more like the thin and thin. Dan Miller said they were waiting on Schwartz, and Stafford said they should fine him.

1st question was how Stafford's shoulder was. He said it is 100%, to which there was a loud cheer. He also talked about rehabbing it and that he is back to dropping back and throwing.

Nate: What brought him here to Detroit? Said a combo of things, calling Linehan one of the best Offensive minds in football. He said he is excited about playing with Stafford, and how he plays the game with passion, which is how Nate plays.

Schwartz came on stage, cracked a joke on Stafford. He thanked the fans for coming, and said with us they will finish what they have started. He said Ford Field neeeds to be rocking, but not when the Lions in the Red Zone. He said Stafford will be calling plays at the Line of Scrimmage, and that he will be running the offense the same way Manning runs Indy.

Schwartz was then asked about the draft, and the Suh chants started (this happened all night). He played it that they hadn't decided, said that over the next 2 days they will be running mock drafts, and that after the weekend we won't be disappointed. Schwartz was done and left after that.

Stafford was asked about Schefler, and he glowed about him, and talked about how they would be running a LOT of 2TE sets. Nate followed it up by talking about all the talent on Offense they have, and that they will be doing a lot of damage this year.

Back to Stafford : He talked about how thing were different this year as opposed to last. He is more comfortable on and off the field, and feels like the leader of the team.

Nate on how his talents help the Offense: RAC. He won't slide or duck out of bounds, and wants to score on every play.

Stafford talked about how much it hurt to miss games. He had not missed a game since high school.

Nate on why you should take him on his fantasy team: Last time I lined up accross from a 6'5" WR who ran a 4.3 I had 1,000 yards and 10 TDs.

Stafford on his development: Said he has watched all his games from last year and it learning what mistakes he made and how to correct them. Says he knows when to force and when to check down. He is really excited for the season to start.

Nate on why he came to Detroit: He said Lions were doing more to improve than Seattle, and really wanted to be a part of this team. He said he would not be here if not for Stafford.

Both players asked who they want at 2. Crowd chants "Suuuuuuuuh". Lewand grabs a mic and says "All of you chanting Suh also wanted us to take Curry last year."

Stafford went first, and talked for 2 minutes without answering the question. Nate said he would just repeat what Stafford ssaid, but that you have to take the Best Player Available.

Stafford asked if he thinks he is a Franchise QB. He said he is, but he still has a lot to prove.

That was all for Staff and Nate, and Gunther and Linehan came up.
