Why Punish us Real Lions Fans Even More?

I just dont get it. Since 1934 the Detroit Lions have played football on Thanksgiving Day. No matter the Lions record it is something that Lions and football fans have looked forward to for 74 years...That is right, 74 years..

A few years back the Kansas City Chiefs owner, Lamar Hunt, whined about some sort of advantage that the Lions and Cowboys for that matter had..That of course is ridiculous..But, the NFL now has a 3rd game on Thanksgiving because of it..

Well low and behold, here we go again..ESPN's morning show, Mike and Mike in the morning are now campaigning to have the Thanksgiving Day game stripped away from the Lions..When I heard this, my head was about to explode!

Why you ask? It's actually pretty simple. Im a real Lions fan. I still live and die for my team. And Thanksgiving Day Lions football is a special day for me, my family, and millions of other Lions fans and their families.

There is nothing that compares to this holiday to me as far as my family goes..I love sitting down and watching the Lions on this special day with my dad, brother, son, and now grandsons. Its about enjoying Lions football and family that day..It has been a tradition all my life, my fathers life, and grandparents life..Three generations of a wonderful tradition..It does not matter if the Lions win or lose..Even though a win makes for a better dinner, lol. Its about family and Lions football

Of course Mike and Mike do not see these things..They only care about watching a game..They dont care that it is more than just a game to us fans..They are only looking out for themselves..Not us Lions fans..There are already 2 other games for them to watch..

Listen, I understand that the Lions are not good..In fact, they are pathetic..But what they, and others seem to forget is this..Us Lions fans are not pathetic. It is hard enough to deal with the Lions and their ineptitude..But its another when people who have no clue what the Lions mean to us and our families on this Special day..

Its not about punishing the Fords..If this is done, you punish us Lions fans..Why do we deserve to be punished?
