• Brett Favre Grow Up

After watching this once proud man dominate the field for 16 seasons I have had enough of him. The man once stood for being a hard worker, blue collar American. Now he just wants attention and won’t admit he’s lost what he use to have. The man at one time was so good that he intimidated teams just by stepping on the field. No matter what kind of garbage Green Bay put around him, he could make receivers look like stars. But that has all changed, now Green Bay has a young defensive minded team. The offense is good too, but the offense needs a young quarter back. If Brett Favre really loved the Green Bay Packers and the fans in Green Bay he would step down and just let Aaron Rodgers take his shot at developing. Even if Favre does come back, why won’t he just allow Rodgers to attempt to run the offense? The Packers need Favre more than ever, but as a teacher and a role model. His legacy would be hurt severly if he played some where like Tampa Bay or Washington. Michael Jordan looked horrible in Washington, Joe Montana was past his prime in Kansas City. Does he really want to be a plug in for another team?

Brett Favre is not Jon Kitna, he is not a journey men who suddenly got got the right fit and looks decent half the time. Brett Favre in another uniform but a Green Bay Packer uniform would tarnish him. He is already making people forget about him being a hard nose every man, but instead a crybaby attention *****. He should be teaching Aaron Rodgers mentoring the rest of the offense to position him self to be a great coach. Favre is a workaholic and this starting to show through. Why not indulge himself in coaching work?

My assumption is that Favre thought there would be tons of stuff to do at home during the season to keep him busy. Now he is being selfish and not allowing the team he helped turn into a contender to mature into a new dynasty. Favre can not play another ten years, but Aaron Rodgers can. He should be getting his snaps so he can learn the NFL game, he’s never really been tested to see what he has. Favre is destroying the future of this team but not giving Aaron Rodgers a shot.
