• What a great time!

What a game! My first ever playoff game and first hockey game in 24 years. Man being there is just amazing. The crowd was electric, even though it was not a sellout. My seats were unbelievable. Upper bowl blueline. A great time was had by all.

The best part of the game was the actual domination of Calgary. They were out shot, out hit, out hustled, and out played. If it wasn't for Kipper that would have been a 10-1 game. I'm still geeked at what a fantastic time I had..My wife who usually does not like watching hockey was able to follow the game better being there as well...

Everyone on the team played well. It sure will be hard to sit Hudler when Bert comes back on Sunday but it just seems like he is the odd man out despite his fantastic play.. Zetterberg was very rusty in my opinion. Everything was bouncing off of his stick. His passes were not crisp and his shots were off. But it did not matter. He hustled, hit, and flew around the ice. By the time the game ended he was getting his feel back which is bad news for the Flames.

Lets not forget how well Hasek played. Even though he did not face many shots, he made the big saves when he needed to. That is why Hasek is so valuable to this team. It's not just the big saves. Its the confidence that the wings have when he plays. They know he can win a game by himself. That is one major difference between this year and last.

This is the type of team Hockeytown has been waiting for. They are a team of skill but also can play, playoff type of hockey. That is what coach Babcock has brought here to this team. It finally showed last night and it was a thing of beauty.
